On Wednesday, PraxisPro announced that it has secured a $6 million seed round led by AlleyCorp. The company plans to use the capital to scale its sales coaching platform, which uses artificial intelligence to help medical sales teams navigate complex interactions with healthcare providers.

The seed funding round also included participation from several other investment firms:

  • Flybridge
  • South Loop Ventures
  • Zeal Capital Partners

The platform utilizes small language models—which are artificial intelligence models with smaller parameter counts that are often used for specific domain tasks—trained on life science data, which refers to data related to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. This technology helps companies navigate the nuances of interacting with healthcare providers by allowing sales representatives to practice their communication skills. PraxisPro operates as a standalone platform, but it can also be integrated directly into enterprise software. The tool is designed to help representatives prepare for the 15 interactions a salesperson may have with a healthcare provider.

The company was founded by Cam Badger, Dr. Benny Alouf, and Bhrugu Giri. Badger, who serves as the company’s CEO, spent four years as a sales representative before co-founding the company. The founders launched PraxisPro in 2023, though the company did not release its first product until 2025. According to Badger, when commercial interactions with healthcare providers are ineffective, patients do not get a fair opportunity to access therapies that could significantly improve their lives.

He noted that the platform’s goal is to elevate how these teams operate. “If we can give commercial teams the ability to prepare, practice, and engage at a higher level, consistently and responsibly, then we’re not just improving commercial operations, but we’re helping ensure that innovative therapies reach the patients who need them most,” Badger said.

Why it matters

PraxisPro applies small language models to the highly regulated life sciences sector, aiming to improve commercial operations and ensure innovative therapies reach patients more effectively.
