Pronto, an Indian instant house-help startup, is finalizing a new funding round led by tech investor Lachy Groom, according to sources familiar with the matter. The deal is expected to bring in about $20 million in fresh capital. If finalized, the investment would value the company at about $200 million after investment, representing a significant milestone for the young business.

This transaction would mark a significant valuation jump for the startup in a very short period. In early March, Pronto raised $25 million in a Series B round—which represents a stage of venture capital financing—led by Epiq Capital. That previous round valued the startup at $100 million, meaning the new deal would double Pronto’s valuation in a matter of weeks.

The startup’s capital-raising history highlights its rapid acceleration. Before the current discussions, Pronto had raised about $40 million in total funding. Its existing investor base includes Epiq Capital, Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital Ventures. The proposed injection of about $20 million would provide the company with fresh capital.

Founded in 2025, the Bengaluru-based startup has experienced rapid growth across its operational metrics in India. The company completed about 500,000 orders last month and is currently handling around 24,000–25,000 orders daily. This current volume represents a substantial increase from about 18,000 daily bookings in March, and a massive jump from roughly 1,000 daily bookings last year.

The startup’s expansion has also scaled across geographic regions and its platform workforce:

  • Geographic footprint: Pronto has expanded its operations from its initial market to 10 cities across India, including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. Its services now cover more than 150 micromarkets, though activity remains concentrated in a handful of markets, with the National Capital Region accounting for about half of total bookings.
  • Platform workforce: The platform now has over 4,500 active professionals. Around 99% of these active professionals are women.

According to Pronto founder Anjali Sardana, demand has continued to outpace the onboarding of new workers on the platform. This supply constraint persists even as bookings on the platform have grown at about 20% week over week. At the time of reporting, neither Pronto nor Lachy Groom had responded to requests for comment regarding the pending funding round.

Why it matters

The deal would double Pronto’s valuation to about $200 million in a matter of weeks, highlighting the rapid growth of the Indian instant house-help startup.
