Everstone Capital merges Wingify and ABTasty into $100M+ platform

Private equity firm Everstone Capital is merging its portfolio companies, India-based Wingify and France-based ABTasty, to build a unified digital experience optimization platform. Digital experience optimization refers to software used to test and personalize websites to improve customer engagement. The combined entity is projected to generate more than $100 million in annual revenue, with about 90% of that revenue coming from the U.S. and Europe. The transaction, announced on Tuesday, comes one year after Singapore-headquartered Everstone acquired a majority stake in Wingify for $200 million in January 2025. Wingify, founded in 2010, is known for VWO, its flagship product that helps businesses improve online conversion rates through A/B testing—a method of comparing two versions of a webpage to see which performs better. ABTasty was founded in 2014.

The merged business will serve more than 4,000 customers, with teams spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The combined company will have close to 800 employees across 11 offices, with roughly 350 staff based outside India. It will be headquartered in New Delhi. Sparsh Gupta, co-founder of Wingify, will serve as CEO of the merged entity and confirmed that the transaction is focused on growth rather than cost-cutting. “There’s no layoffs that are planned as part of this merger,” Gupta said. The deal includes a cash component alongside some equity rollover for existing leadership to maintain ownership stakes, primarily aimed at cleaning up ABTasty’s cap table.

The new executive team will draw from both organizations:

  • CEO: Sparsh Gupta
  • Chief Product and Technology Officer: Ankit Jain
  • Chief Customer and Strategy Officer: Rémi Aubert
  • Chief Revenue Officer: Alix de Sagazan

Everstone will retain majority control and board rights, holding five to six board seats. The board will include representation from Everstone and Gupta, alongside three to four independent directors. Wingify co-founder Paras Chopra, who exited during the January 2025 transaction, is not part of the new operational leadership.

The transaction reflects a broader consolidation trend in the enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) sector. According to a PitchBook report, enterprise SaaS M&A activity surged to 270 deals in Q3, valued at $65 billion. This represented a 26.2% quarter-over-quarter growth in deal volume, with private equity accounting for 66.7% of those transactions. Sandeep Singh, managing director at Everstone Capital, noted that the combination will allow the companies to offer one of the most comprehensive product suites in their category.

Why it matters

This deal underscores the growing demand for integrated digital experience platforms, as enterprises prioritize AI-ready tools that consolidate marketing and product workflows over fragmented vendor stacks.
