Logistics startup Stord doubles valuation to $3 billion
Atlanta-based logistics startup Stord raised $250 million at a $3 billion valuation, doubling its worth from a year ago as it expands its AI-powered e-commerce platform.
E-commerce logistics company Stord announced on Tuesday that it has secured a $250 million funding round, pushing its valuation to $3 billion. This milestone effectively doubles the company’s valuation from the $1.5 billion it reached during a previous funding round just one year ago in 2025. At that time, the startup raised a $200 million mega-round—a term used to describe a very large funding round.
The Atlanta-based company provides a network of physical warehouses and inventory management software, positioning itself as an “anti-Amazon” alternative. According to the company’s branding, this model allows brands to maintain direct customer relationships while gaining “the speed to compete” in the e-commerce landscape. To bolster its platform, Stord recently integrated an AI interface into its software. This development was highlighted by Google in April at its Cloud Next conference.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Sean Henry and CTO Jacob Boudreau while they were students at Georgia Tech, Stord hit unicorn status—defined as a private company valued at over $1 billion—in 2021. The startup survived the subsequent venture capital funding winter before securing its recent rounds. With this latest injection of capital, Stord has raised a total of about $775 million to date.
The current funding round was led by Strike Capital, which also served as the lead investor for the company’s previous funding round. Other participants in the funding round include:
- Kleiner Perkins
- Founders Fund
- Franklin Templeton
- Baillie Gifford
- G Squared
- Bond
Why it matters
Stord’s valuation doubling in a challenging market signals strong investor appetite for logistics tech that helps brands compete with Amazon while maintaining control over their customer relationships.
