NoshOne kitchen robot launches to automate home cooking

The NoshOne Kitchen Robot has launched for preorder, introducing a device that can manage much of the cooking process autonomously. Priced at $1,499, the robot is designed to handle tasks such as chopping, stirring, sautéing, portioning, plating, and self-cleaning after ingredients are loaded. The system runs on NoshOS, a proprietary AI operating system trained on recipes and cooking techniques, which uses built-in sensors to monitor moisture, texture, and browning levels in real time to adjust heat and seasoning. While the device has limitations—it cannot bake, roast, or steam—it supports more than 500 dishes, including stir-fry and curry. Shipments for the robot are expected to begin in summer 2026.

Several other hands-free and automated kitchen devices are also entering the market to simplify meal preparation:

  • StirMate Automatic Pot Stirrer ($89.99): This device automatically rotates around a pot to stir soups, sauces, oatmeal, or risottos, allowing users to multitask. It runs for up to 10 hours on a single charge and recharges in about an hour. The device could serve as a helpful accessibility tool for people with mobility issues or chronic pain.
  • KitchenArm Smart Bread Machine ($149.99): This machine automates the mixing, kneading, proofing, and baking process for homemade bread, offering 29 automatic programs. It includes settings for white, French, and whole wheat bread, alongside a customizable manual mode.
  • De’Longhi Rivelia Espresso Machine ($1,499.95): This smart espresso machine automatically grinds beans, brews espresso, and froths milk. It features personalization options, such as remembering up to four user profiles and suggesting beverages based on the time of day. It is widely considered one of the most popular high-end espresso machines currently available.
  • Nama M1 Plant Milk Maker ($449): This device automates the process of making plant-based milk from ingredients like almonds, oats, or cashews. It uses centrifugal force to produce milk in a few minutes, eliminating manual soaking and straining.
  • KitchenArt Auto-Measure Spice Carousel ($45.95): A rotating carousel that stores up to 12 spices and dispenses them in measured 1/4 teaspoon amounts or through built-in spouts, preventing accidental over-pouring.

These releases highlight a broader shift in the kitchen gadget market toward hands-free and AI-powered automation. Manufacturers are increasingly focusing on devices that act as automated countertop assistants, targeting consumers who want to reduce the time and physical energy required for daily meal preparation. By automating repetitive tasks like stirring, kneading, and measuring, these devices aim to make home cooking more accessible and less time-consuming.
